As a full-time wheelchair I find it extremely difficult to exercise. With the majority of gym facilities not catering for disabled people, and not being able to go out for a walk to exercise. This area of my life has always been a challenge, and this was even before lockdown. One evening, a few weeks ago I was watching Look North and Tara caught my eye.

I listened and to my absolute delight Sit to Be Fit came into my living room. What an amazing idea. No more worries about lack of access, I could exercise using the Sit to Be Fit classes online via Zoom.

My journey began and having these weekly sessions has been a life changing experience. I never for one minute thought that I could do yoga from my wheelchair. I have met some lovely people during the sessions too.

I will be sad when my fitness programme comes to and end. However, I know this is just the beginning as Tara has big plans.

    Best of luck Tara.

    Best wishes
