I have osteoarthritis in my back, shoulders and neck and have tried Pilates, physio, swimming and extend. I have had shoulder surgery and was told I would probably need a shoulder replacement. All those types of exercise caused a lot of pain and I had to stop them after a few weeks. So having completed a health questionnaire I was accepted for the first classes and thought I’d try them.
4 weeks of Yoga with Michelle was lovely. Gentle exercises sitting and stretching, finishing with meditation left me relaxed.
Then 4 weeks with Mark doing Boxercise. The whole group were now together which was lovely. I really had no idea that boxing arm movements could be such fun and so good. Mark showed us every move we would do very clearly and told us to work within our own limits and kept a good eye on us all!
Last 4 weeks were strengthening exercises with Mark again. I really was feeling the benefit in the range of movements and strength in my arms and shoulders and these continued to improve. To my delight, my GP told me that what I had been doing might prevent a shoulder replacement as she could see the improvement.
I really recommend giving Sit to be Fit a go. I think we have all benefited physically. We feel better and it has helped our Mental Health too, regularly meeting together and having fun while we exercise.
We have been given fantastic support by Tara, Mark and Michelle and know they are there for us at any time. I can’t thank them enough and will continue the exercises on video in the members’ area on the website.
A huge thank you to all of you for your wonderful support. I have enjoyed and looked forward to every Monday.
